Open Question: What kind of details should I look into if I want to buy a computer that is meant for watching movies?
Hi again people of yahoo, once again I am stumped and need some advice on something, I am looking into buying a computer so I can watch movies online or downloaded, which I'm going to hook up to my T.V. and I need some help picking the right computer so I was hoping if somebody could give me some sort of list of what I need on the computer ex/how much difficult much difficult steer RAM, video steer, etc... please don't put on state of the art stuff cause I'm not looking for the best computer, I'm just looking for a computer that is relatively up to date and that it can watch movies because I don't have every that much money. Open Question: Should we see a movie?
Well, I really really REALLY REALLY like this girl. We've gone to a football game together, the mall, and out to eat at a nice restaurant. Now, we're finally going on our first date. I asked her out in person and set a place but not an exact time. So I followed up online... She asked me if I just wanted to look around and eat, or if I wanted to look a movie too. She made it sound like she wanted to, but I really don't want to... Why would she ask that? Oh yeah, we're going to the mall. Well, I feel like in movies, the main reason you go there for a date, is because it allows you to receive intimate. & making out doesn't seem right for the first date. I know a lot of people DO go to the movies for the first date, but do some girls feel like it's a must? I know I made that lengthier than it had to be!

Open Question: Is this a red flag in someone I am going to marry, or am I being naive?
I have been with my bf for 2 years...a few months ago we went on a little break, during which he made a facebook page, so his status says single. We've been back together for 4 or 5 months now, and he still hasn't changed it. The other day I asked him why he hadn't, he said he didn't know how. This would be fine, but once I left him a comment referencing him as my boyfriend, and then it was gone. I asked him if he deleted it, and he said no and to leave it again. So I did, and it's gone again. It's the only one that's gone, too. Then a couple hours later I'm deleted as his pal on there entirely. I asked him and he says he doesn't know what happened and he didn't erase me or the things I said, but every those things together (being "single," deleting my comments, then deleting me) seem like too many coincidences. He says he doesn't know how to work facebook, but I do and you can't just accidentally delete people and their comments. Why would he be doing this? He recently brought up marriage and wants to marry me, is very good to me and every his friends know we're dating, so why is he trying to look single online? Or am I overreacting? We're both 26 and FYI a LOT of adults have facebook pages.

If you met someone on an online dating site and things have gotten serious between the two of you, would you expect ur partner to keep checking in with his online dating account? I noticed my boyfriend whom i met off line keeps checking his account. We have been dating for little over a month. What do you think? He said that he is falling for me harder than anyone else before. If i ask him about it...wont it makes me look pyscho that im checking up on him like that?

Open Question: can i get unemployment if i was forced to resign?
i was a top performer at my previous position for 2years, no write ups, no performance issues. My job got bought out and there were alot of changes eg. fluctuation of bonus structures,that supplement my means of income. In July we were informed that the company would be laying off 25 positions by September. They need to make room at our location to combine offices there. So I began to post my resume online. HR at my job contacted me by email with an offer to take position. I didnt respond. So the next day at work I was confronted on the floor in front of my coworkers about it. No one knew. Then arrive the hassle of where was i looking, i didnt know you were leaving, etc. I tried to keep it below wraps and down play it everyday..September came , i was offered a position at another company. . I put in my resignation that day but the next morning i told my manager i wanted to take it back, our department wasnt laying off. Instead she request that i extend it and give her another letter of resignation.I was in shock. so she keep emailing me for the extension so i finally gave in and dated my last day for oct 29.I went back 2 wks later to keep my job. she went to the director(she says) and the director said no.i have to resign.Needless to say now i need another job. I took a temp position for 2 weeks until a permanent position came thru. i stayed at this new permanent job for 30days until they let me go. They couldnt afford my benefits and they dissolved my position. Now unemployment wants to pursue the resigned job for unemployment. the manager i gave notice to left a month after i did.

Right...i met this guy at a club a month ago [i know that sounds bad straight away lol] We danced together..kissed, and i gave him my number, that's it. Then he text me the next day, we started chatting on msn, facebook e.t.c and he seemed to want to talk to me. We met up for a ''date'' one friday & i had a really nice time with him....we kissed alot & that was it. He text me saying that he really liked me the next day. i told him i like him aswell. at first when i met him, he text me first just asking what i was up to e.t.c...but now, he doesnt text me first, and if i text him, he takes ages writing back..or doesnt tb at every! Yet he messaged me online saying that he doesnt want me to think he's not interested cos he is. he's phoned me quite alot & we have a giggle on the phone....we'd planned to meet up over xmas & a couple of times before that, but one one occasion, he didn't answer to my text every day when i asked him if he was still up for coming out. Then another time when we were meant to meet, he phoned me at about 9 in the evening & said that he was still coming out, then about an hour later he said that he was too sleepy but we could go for a couple of drinks somewhere, then i got fed up with waiting for him to answer to my text, so i just said we'd meet another time...about two hours later he replied saying 'ok'... I like this guy so much, but he never makes any effort & he never asks me to arrive out with him, texts me first or anything, but he says he's interested...what is going on?? Open Question: Is it time to finally meet in person ?? (Online dating question)?
I've been chatting with this guy online for about 2 months 1/2 - 3months so far. We talk on the phone for hours on end, we have a strong connection, it just comes natural. We both know each other is being honest with each other, so the question really isn't about honesty here. We haven't met so far, but I was wondering, wouldn't it be about time? I started dating this guy I met online and as we were chatting, I asked if he had anything to hide because I couldn't look his tagged pictures of facebook. He accused me of being paranoid because he repeatedly, he told me he is a serious guy who wanted to find someone to settle down, but a part of me is still skeptical. I got mad at him for calling me paranoid so he wished me good night and hung up. I don't want to scare him off. I'm not much for the online dating thing.. it's just not my style. I receive random pal requests from guys every the time on myspace. Sometimes I add them just for conversation, but never with intentions of meeting them.. most of them are ridiculous anyway. This one guy messaged me about a year ago and was so sweet and respectful. He calls me beautiful every the time, which is a word you rarely hear from guys. I eventually gave him my number and our conversations were nothing but friendly. (only through texts). I stopped talking to him for like half a year, up until recently. I have finally learned you can't find good guys in bars. I saw an old random comment from him awhile ago so I decided to say hey and look how he's been. He's always mentioned wanting to take me out, and has never been pushy about it. I feel like it would be so awkward and weird, I don't know- personal preference I guess. But he seems like an actual good guy so I don't know what to do. If I say yes, does anyone have any advice or pointers? Well I changed my number so he really couldn't receive ahold of me.. so it was awhile before we started talking again. Thanks for the advice- I know it's not exactly the safest thing, that's why I'm nice of hesistant to do it. But I do know he is friends with a girl I had a class with, but I no longer talk to her so I can't really ask. Oh - I definitely know you can't meet good guys in bars. Open Question: Is there a better girl out there??? im 20.?
My last girlfriend was a theif and a golddigger... is there anyone better? or every girls the same? i met this girl which at first i thought was a really pretty and nice girl... as i always knew girls can be sorta a gold digger or a little expensive... well first we were supose to go to a concert.. i knew i was going to pay for her ticket, but she asked me to pay for her friends, and first i thought no, but i decided to anyways cause i really liked her.. the concert was supose to be in nov, costing 230.. but she said it was actually in dec 14.. so i was like ok.. then in dec she said we should go to disneyland i thought it would be a nice way for a couple to start out in christmas time.. ends up stalling each day we were supose to go! and eventually said the tickets were lost.. i gave her over 200 dollars to give to her friends to buy the tickets, and for a pitch in for hotel... then the concert comes, and she ignores me the whole day of the concert... i asked what happend she said i didnt call her... i sorta told her i suspected her of being a theif.. she said no way.. so we kept talking.. eventually we went to a motel, and fooled around, that night i was missing over 300 dollars.. i was like what the heck.. i called an confronted her but she said she didnt take anything, i told her i knew how much i had... she kept denying it.. she did say however another night at the motel would be a good idea to finish what we started, i thought that could be fine considering i didnt mind so.. end up being she stole another 300 or so again!!! by the 2nd time i told her it was over, and that i couldnt believe it.. she begged for a third chance, even though i kept saying no and no... eventually thought she would change, i thought a date wouldnt hurt...so we had dinner, then ending up messing around in the back seats of my car... she told me to tug down my pants i sure did.. we tryed going to different locations for privacy.. i went to liqour store for condoms... we parked and took care of business.. took her to "no longer apartment however had to talk to manager" ... i was waiting then i noticed my phone was gone.. i thought maybe it couldve fell in liqour or a spot we were at... checked everything, got home.. messaged her on myspace she said she had it...so next day we met a motel so i can receive my phone and also hang out... she told me her pal was gonna bring the phone to the motel.. i was like ok sorta thought that was weird... i was parked around the motel( which she said the motel was 140), as she said her pal brought the phone, she walked to go receive it and said not to leave.. i called her from my moms cell ... she said her dad came to the motel and starting fake crying as it sounded.. i said so what the hell is up with my phone, and then she cryed and hung up... next day online she told me to fuck off, and doesnt know who has my phone now... i guess thats what i got for a third chance.. wow i feel real down, and sorta think that every girls may just be about money ... any advice out there? im 20 years old.. p.s name was just made idk why.. but im not a xbox game geek or anything...

I had unprotected sex ( wanting to start a family; newly wed) On November 23,08 I had unprotected sex and on Dec. 26 I tested negative On December 21 I had unprotected sex and Jan. 5 I tested Positive. Wouldn't my conceived date be around December? How far along would I be? When would my due date be? I called to book an appointment and the nurse couldn't tell me how far I was. every she told me was that I was very, very, early because if i conceived in November the Dec. 26 pregnancy test should of been Positive. Nurse is assuming sometime in December; I've been searching online but I've been unlucky; can anyone help me?

Okay...so this is what hapened. I met this guy online. And i was SURE things were not going to work because he just seemed too good to be true! But things kinda did work out..we knew each other for about a month and he invited me over to hang out at his place. It was fun i guess. He taught me martial arts and told m more about him and i answered questions about me. We instantly clicked. I have recently signed up on eharmony. I met this guy that I have been talking to from there. Hes really nice and we have a lot in common. The only problem I have is that he loves to work out and i dont myself. I am not "in shape". I mean i dont find myself huge but im def not skinny either. Would that be horrible? background information: -we only dated 3 monthes -we only went on TWO dates both to the movies and one of the two times there were other people with us. -we've never have talked on the phone before -he is a veryveryveryyyy awkward person and I really think he would be so embarrased and not know what to say if i called or did it in person. -he asked me out online so he can't really say anything bad about it. Open Question: How do you stop a general contractor with a 20 year history of non-payment and theft?
For the past 4 months, I have been trying to collect on invoices for work performed for a general contractor doing business in my state. He resides in the same state, but out of town. My business partner and I have been hired by the contractor on three separate jobs and in each case, collecting is next to impossible. He refused to sign a work contract with us and would not give us the down payment we normally require. Unfortunately, we did the work anyway. My sister is an employee of the company and that is probably the reason we continued with the work. I recently performed a online court records search on this man and was amazed at my findings. He has no less than 60 judgments against him and in one case he was convicted of Theft in the 1st Degree, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of approximately $142,000. That was approximately 10 years ago. He served a few days of his sentence on two separate occasions and was bailed out with $43,000 in bonds. A partial restitution was made. Of the remaining cases, he still owes in excess of $200,000. It is my understanding that he has filed bankruptcy, but have not confirmed that yet. His pattern continues. On the jobs I worked on recently, he still owes subcontractors. On the first job for which he was paid in full in September, he still owes approximately $15,000. Yesterday, we collected from the homeowner on the 2nd job. On the final job, we ceased work on December 23, 2008 and filed a mechanics lien. We spoke with the homeowner and explained our concerns. The owner had already paid the general $35,000 with a balance due of approximately $23,000 based on the building allow information filed with the city. The job was started the end of September and to date, we have received nothing. The general contractor has promised payment by the 10th and 25th of each month if we provide invoices by the 25th and 10th, respectively. He has promised payment but neglected to write the checks. I visited with the owner of his last business operation. He had convinced her to let him put the business in her name and make him an employee. Most of his clients and vendors are unaware of this. He has the same arrangement with the bookkeeper of his current business. It appears that he then collects money from the clients and then either spends it or diverts it elsewhere, thus leaving the unsuspecting owner with a series of bounced checks, lawsuits and irate vendors. He is eventually brought to court, a judgment is ruled against him and he walks away. The plaintiff, in most cases, receives little or nothing in restitution. It also appears that he may have forged signatures on credit applications and possibly be involved in a check kiting. Again, he is not the owner of the business, but it appears that he is directly involved in its financial operations. The previous owner has contacted the local authorities, but they basically say they can't do anything. One vendor has contacted the Attorney General of the State and is awaiting a response. My question is this: With his 20 year legal track record of nonpayment and theft, what can be done to cease him from continuing his practice/scam? He is brilliant in the execution of this "scam", but needs to be stopped for the protection of unsuspecting clients, vendors and subcontractors. What can be done? Does a class action against him apply?

This girl and I have been talking a for little while. I had liked her a little while before then, but we didn't really talk much.
